Since the Ross BBA is a four-year program, the best time to apply is during senior year of high school as a First-Year Applicant. A select number of students are enrolled as transfer applicants from other universities, as well as from U-M.
This is the main pathway into Michigan Ross. About 80 percent of the BBA class is enrolled as high school seniors through Preferred Admission.

Transfers only represent about five percent of each BBA class. It's selective, but you could be just the person we're looking for!

The BBA program requires three years of full-time enrollment. You’ll start as a sophomore.
U-M transfer is the second most common path to Ross. About 100 students in each BBA class transfer from another school or college at U-M.

You're no stranger to academic excellence.Show us you can keep up with the rigor of Ross. Earn good grades in challenging classes, including quantitative courses. First-year applicants should have a competitive SAT and/or ACT score.
You work well with others.Extracurricular experiences show us your passion, drive, initiative, and commitment — and the interpersonal skills that are critical in business. Quality trumps quantity, and we love to see leadership roles.
You do your research.What makes the Ross BBA right for you? Provide specific examples that relate to your interests, goals, and experiences while highlighting your best qualities. While you may not have your entire career mapped out, it is helpful for us to know why you are interested in business.
You are unique.The essays give you a chance to show how you’ve applied learning in the past. Use original examples that highlight your strengths.
